Your Voice in My Head: A Memoir

Your Voice in My Head: A Memoir - Emma Forrest This was a difficult read for me, in that, for the most part, I felt like a helpless observer in the author's personal struggle with depression, mania and self-hurt. I picked up this read because I thought that the storyline, which as far as synopses go, might be along the lines of Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor's book, 'My Stroke Of Insight' (which I have not yet read at the time of this review). This book is raw, brutally honest and permits the reader a glimpse of the dark abyss of clinical depression, and how every mental and emotional hurdle overcome, no matter how small, is victory indeed.
