Wishin' and Hopin'
I just found out that this is being made into a movie, bearing the same title, to be released on 23 November 2014, in time for the holiday season. It has the potential to be a contemporary movie equivalent of 'Miracle on 34th Street' and 'It's A Wonderful Life', though it does not have Santa in it, and is placed in a narrower scene setting of a parochial school and the growing pains of a 5th grader.
