With such a title and rather enticing synopsis, this book had me expecting something along the lines of the search for the Spear of Destiny: with hidden, cryptic and intriguing clues -- well, there was some of that, but even so, not very compelling ones. Mostly, it referenced 'Superman' and its creator, and how this 'Book of Lies' was supposedly tied up in all that. Even the little action that there was seemed contrived and stilted. In addition, the conclusion was anti-climatic and quite disappointing. The title held so much promise, but it just didn't pan out for me.
