"I am simply a 'book drunkard'. Books have the same irresistable temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them." (L. M. Montgomery)
A more engaging story then the first book (Chosen Ones) and written in a more 'happening' pace, while still retaining a very slight similarity to 'Narnia'. Plot development was good, but the ending was abrupt. It was not that it hinted at a follow-up book, the ending was all of two pages which (this) reader felt akin to a bad landing! All in all, still a decent read.
